In what turned up to be an exiting match, the Arrows being the home team dominated affairs the first half with the Liberty able to be solid on the defense but unable to break through the Arrows defensive coverage and the numbers in the middle of the field, with both teams going into the the break all even at 0-0.

The Liberty Ladies however, were able to get a foothold on the game after a few tactical and personnel adjustments on the second half, and the game turned into an even match where thanks to the exceptional work rate from Taylor Embry in the middle of the field, the Liberty created a number of chances and maintained possession for a larger part of the half. Unfortunately, it was on the second half that the Arrows unable to find a way through normal play, finally scored on an outstanding shot from 45 yards out.

With time running out, Liberty had a number of other chances that came close but were not able to even the score, ending the first official match for the club with a 1-0 loss.
