Welcome and thank you for your interest in the Reno Tahoe Liberty FC, Northern Nevada’s first Women’s Premiere Soccer Club.

Now that you are here, you might have a few questions about what the club is all about, and most importantly, what does it mean for the Northern Nevada Women and the community as a whole.

With the popularity of soccer nationwide catching on, it was only a matter of time before the Northern Nevada communities embraced the sport as one of the most popular forms of not only family entertainment, but also as a natural sport for the kids and adults to get into, with all the passion and enjoyment of the game from the younger ranks at U5, to what we now have in the area with older boys and girls winning top accolades in the state and region.

Add to that the growing number of adults playing in the local leagues, as well as the Reno 1868 USL men’s professional club coming in 2017, and it was only natural that a women’s premiere soccer team needed to be added to the community.

To this effect, the Reno Tahoe Liberty Football Club, a not-for-profit organization, is bringing to the Northern Nevada communities a top level soccer franchise from the WPSL (Women’s Premiere Soccer League). With over 100 teams, the WPSL league offers top amateur, collegiate, semi-pro and professional  players a destination to play every year during the months of May, June and July.

The Reno Tahoe Liberty Football Club is professionally managed by the Liberty Sports Group (LSG), whom is working frantically backstage to organize and prepare for the start of the 2017 inaugural WPSL soccer season in Reno.

Please check the website daily as we build the pages with all the information for our soon to be new Liberty FC fans (you), and subscribe to our newsletter list so that you may get the latest news coming from the press room as we bring to Reno Tahoe, the opportunity to not only watch top level women’s soccer, but also the opportunity for local women to try out and play at the highest level in their home town.

If you are a female player 16 years of age and older, playing locally with one of the local leagues at the Reno Coed Soccer League (RCSL), the Northern Nevada Soccer League (NNSL), the Sportsdome, or one of the adult women leagues in Carson City, Lake Tahoe, Truckee or nearby areas, and you know you can play and would like to tryout for the team, please subscribe to the email list to get the information for tryouts for the 2017 season.

We know there are women that can make the team out here as we have watched some of them play, hence the reason we wanted to bring the Reno Tahoe Liberty FC to the area. We feel strongly about being able to have the foundation of the team built from the local women currently playing and living in the community. Even if your skill is less than sharp, the club will start this fall with training to prepare those a little rusty to earn a place in the roster.
